Getting to be time for replacing my Vredestein Classic Sprint 165 HR 15 86H  tires on my TR4A.  They are mounted on 15X5 wire wheel rims.  I am thinking about something a bit wider that would be about the same height.  The car was lowered and has about 4.5" of clearance at its lowest point on the frame.  Vredestein makes a 185/70X15, which is 7.4" wide vs 5.8" for the 165 and 25.2" vs 25.4" in diameter.  I don't know if the 185s would fit in the wheel wells properly or make any real difference in handling.  Any suggestions?  Also, wondering what preferences in other tires beyond Vredestein's anyone might have.  Tough to find tires for these sizes wires.

Hi. Ken.  First I wanted to Thank you again for suggesting Rich Brown ( who is working on my MGA now )

Not good news about my engine.  But it is what it is.  About your tires  have you looked at Coker Tires.

They are not cheap but they have just about everything .

    Thanks again , be well.
