After 40+ years of slumber in a dry, concrete floored garage, this late 1962 (registered in ’63 w/ VIN# GHNL2/107854)) has come out into the light of day. While little is known of its racing history, it shows signs of being raced regularly in Factory Production Class in local SCCA before being put away. It is not a "numbers matching" car and the MGB 1800 motor (#18V883AE-L2686) is out of the car, but included. There is also a spare MGA transmission that will be included in the sale.

I would rate the condition of the car as “good minus”, with solid body panels and a strong frame and unmolested wiring. The floors have been replaced with tin panels, the speedometer has been removed and an oil pressure gauge mounted in a custom bevel and the heater box has been removed. The original windshield and wipers have also been removed and a Brooklands style race windshield has been fitted. Its light yellow livery is not original Iris Blue (I think) that is showing throughout the car in the engine bay and trunk and is peeling in places, but still has a wonderful patina. The headlights have removed and the buckets covered over. The car has wire wheels fitted to it.

This is wonderful find for the MGA lover who wants to either race in vintage class or recommission the car for road use. It is by no means a perfect car, but is a strong foundation to start from and it has some great character. The car is being sold on a bill-of-sale only basis. No further paperwork can be provided at this time. Asking $4700 OBO. Serious buyers only. Shown by appointment only. Seriously interested buyers should contact KURT (from the BAMG Club) at kfsteele@icloud.com. Many pictures available.
