Join us as we drive in the Bourne 4th of July Parade.  This is the largest parade of our season with very large crowds lining the Buzzards Bay route, from the Mass Maritime Academy to the Shell Gas Station.   It takes the parade about 50 minutes to pass any given point.  The Coast Guard is promising a flyover.

To get to the Mass Maritime Academy staging area from the Cape take the first exit after the bridge and follow the rotary around to Main St. Buzzards Bay.   Make a left at the only traffic light (just past the RR Bridge Park) onto Academy Drive.  Make the first right and follow the signs which will direct you to the rear entrance of the MMA parking lot, near the wind turbine.

At the staging area identify yourself as part of the Cape Cod British Car Club and you will be directed to the proper staging position.  Unlike in past years the division assignment is not being given out in advance.

Staging begins at 8:00 with the parade beginning at 10. Parade organizers would like participants to be in place by 8:30 am. Decorate your car at the staging area with the club's flags and decals.  Parade organizers will have a food vendor in the staging area.  Bathrooms are there also.  If you forgot to wear a shirt, parade organizers will have t-shirts on sale. After the parade is over continue a block or so up Main St. to Mike Daley's Office to return the car decorations.   Mike's office is in the professional park on the right side of the road.

Before the parade starts make sure your cars cooling system is in good shape.

Red Tape:   Parade organizers require that you have a valid and current inspection sticker on your car and that it is registered and insured.   Nothing is to be thrown from the cars.
